Someone to keep an eye on

The director of the Queens Museum/NYC, Ms. Raicovich, is openly defending DACA. It is not everyday that we see people who hold positions of leadership do what they are supposed to do when it comes to confrontational subjects, the really hard part of their jobs. Ms. Raicovich seems to understand what she is up for: “I take my leadership very seriously — not just in a physical and managerial sense”. 

Plus, she is fighting for fairness. “Care and equity has to be part of what I bring to my position." As she acknowledges, these are problems that can’t be approached as an abstraction. Immigrants are an active part of this society, people she works with, and who surround the museum.
